Playmakers Nashville launched in early 2026 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit to empower women in sports. They needed a complete digital foundation that could handle the weight of a high-profile city-wide launch, tiered memberships, and complex scholarship tracking from Day 1.
The Challenge: “Zero-to-One” Infrastructure Because the organization was brand new, there was no existing data or legacy system. The challenge was to architect a site that was robust enough to handle immediate professional scale while remaining simple enough for the non-profit team to manage internally.
Deployed a high-performance WordPress environment on WP Engine, ensuring the site remained stable during the February 4th launch spike
Engineered a multi-level access system (Starter, Captain, and Champion) to segment student and professional cohorts. I focused on a frictionless onboarding flow to minimize “cart abandonment” during the sign-up process.
Developed secure, automated submission pipelines for multiple funds, including partnerships with the Nashville Predators and INSBANK, allowing a new organization to act with the efficiency of an established one.
Used Elementor to create a modular design system, allowing the client to add new events and partners as the community expanded.
Immediate Traction: Successfully onboarded 250+ members within the first 3 months of the brand’s existence.
Operational Readiness: The site launched with full functionality for 5+ scholarship funds and a complete member directory.
Brand Authority: Positioned a new non-profit as a professional, “digital-first” leader in the Nashville sports community.
